The State is requesting proposals for its State-administered employee/retiree health benefit plans for: (1) an administrative service organization (ASO) with expertise in behavioral health services administration to manage the self-funded behavioral health services (mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse) program, which is carved out from the medical benefit plan for approximately 170,000 enrollees of the State’s self-insured preferred provider organization/indemnity plan option, and (2) an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the active, non-AFSCME union employees of the State and their covered dependents.
