The requirement for NSN 6140-01-562-0859 Battery Storage will be procured under an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) using FAR subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. A base period of 3 years and two separate 1-year option years with a total duration not to exceed 5 years is anticipated. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis using other than full and open competition under NAICS 335999. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).The approved sources of supply are:

Based on market research, this item is commercial and the Government is using the policies contained in FAR Part 13.5 for this solicitation. The solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp on or about the issue date of July 19, 2019. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) quotations are not acceptable. Quotes must be submitted on a hard copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ), scanned, and emailed to Amanda.Stroupe@dla.mil.
