The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct Market Research to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist the USAF in determining if a future contract effort can be competitively awarded. The acquisition code for this item is 3R because it is a customized piece of support equipment with no engineering data. The Government does not own the rights to the data required to purchase from any other source other than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The OEM is unwilling to sell the rights of this data to the Government. Therefore, the Government will use this information solely to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this procurement.
