Project Description: Baltimore Harbor Maintenance Dredging

The proposed procurement is unrestricted, NAICS 237990 with a magnitude of construction between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.

FY19/20 Baltimore Harbor (MD) Channels Maintenance Dredging
This project is to perform FY 19/20 annual maintenance dredging for the Maryland channels of the Baltimore Harbor & Channels Project. Approximately 950,000 cubic yards will be dredged from the Brewerton Channel Eastern Extension and approximately 1,205,000 cubic yards will be dredged from the Tolchester Channel and the material will be placed at the Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project, Talbot County, Maryland. Additionally, approximately 305,000 cubic yards will be dredged from the Brewerton Channel, approximately 170,000 cubic yards will be dredged from Brewerton Angle, and approximately 160,000 cubic yards will be dredged from the Northwest Branch East Channel, for placement at the Masonville Dredge Material Containment Facility, Baltimore City, Maryland. In order to allow for proper drying/consolidation of the dredged material at Poplar Island, a dredge material placement time of year restriction of June 15 - September 30 will be
enforced.
