Project Description: Baltimore Harbor Maintenance Dredging -York Spit
The proposed procurement is unrestricted, NAICS 237990 with a magnitude of construction between $10,000,000.00 to $25,000,000.00.

FY19/20 Annual Maintenance Dredging for the Virginia Channels of the Baltimore Harbor & Channels of the Baltimore Harbor & Channels Project. It is anticipated the work would be performed in the winter - spring of 2019 - 2020. The project consists of dredging portions of the York Spit Federal Navigation Channel. The work consists of maintenance dredging to a required depth of 51 feet MLLW with one foot of allowable overdepth. The dredging involves approximately 2,675,000 cubic yards of material, including allowable overdepth dredging. The work shall be performed by a hopper dredge. The district is performing analyses to evaluate a new placement site, referred to as the Wolf Trap Alternate Placement - Northern Extension. If approved, the dredged material will be transported and placed in the designated Government-furnished placement area. Work will be accomplished in a heavy commercial waterway supporting the Port of Baltimore. The equipment required for this work commonly consists of one 4,500 - 8,500 cubic yard hopper dredge and one crew/survey vessel. The anticipated performance period for the above described dredging and placement should not exceed 180 calendar days from receipt of Notice-to-Proceed.
