Ballast Water Laboratory Platform and Catwalks
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for a Ballast Water Laboratory platform and catwalks to be used in a Navy Research and Development laboratory. This requirement includes the building of and the installation of the platform and catwalk, as detailed in the Statement of Work. The platform and catwalks must meet safety structural requirements and be certified by a Professional Engineer.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and is supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) is N65540-14-T-5238 and is attached to this announcement. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. This RFQ is a one hundred percent (100%) Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332715 and the Small Business size standard is 500 employees. All offerors shall be within one hundred (100) miles of the Washington Metropolitan Area. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the agency. Provisions and clauses are included in the attached solicitation.
A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and selection for award will be based on the lowest price quote received from a responsible contractor that meets the specified requirements. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) database. Registration may be done by accessing the SAM website at http://www.SAM.gov. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. All responses must be received by 05 June 2014 - 6:00PM-ET, and must reference RFQ number N65540-14-T-5238. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
