The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWC TSD) in support of the H-1 Light Attack Helicopter Program Office (PMA-276) is seeking sources to provide pilot and maintenance personnel training support for AH-1Z attack helicopter Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. The following information is provided to assist the United States Navy in conducting market research to determine potential contractors that have an interest in and capability to build and provide an AH-1Z Flight Training Device (FTD) to be used by a foreign Purchaser. The primary use of these training devices will be to instruct Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) H-1 pilots and copilots and provide the skills necessary to complete the Training and Readiness (T and R) syllabus throughout all stages of pilot and copilot development in areas such as Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) navigation training, Naval Aviation Training and Operational Procedure Standardization (NATOPS) procedures, emergency procedures training, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) training, Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) training, weapons deployment, and networked training within existing infrastructures.

The estimated contract award for this effort is CY2020, with a need date for the FTD to be delivered in-country no later than January 2022.
