- The Government proposes to acquire, on a five year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, a minimum quantity of 4,000 each up to 20,000 each maximum of BLADE COMPRESSOR, AI, NSN: 2840-00-556-4415, Part Number: 2-100-024-08 applicable to the BL CHINOOK TURBINE ENGINE (T55) weapon system.


- The estimated Production Lead Time (PLT) with First Article Testing is 608 Days & without First Article Testing is 405 Days After Contract Award (DACA) with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002.

- The estimated Production Lead Time (PLT) with First Article Testing is 476 Days & without First Article Testing is 318 Days After Contract Award (DACA) with deliveries to New Cumberland, PA 17070-5002.

The data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) from only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar and looking under Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR). The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.

The FedBizOpps.gov website will be used to issue the solicitation, amendments or any other information concerning the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about 31 January 2017.


The anticipated award date is on or about 1 May 2018.
