NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) located at the Syracuse VA Medical Center 800 Irving Ave. Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to award a sole source contract award to Covidien Sales LLC, 161 Cheshire Ln Ste 100, Plymouth, MN, 55441. The period of performance is March 15, 2019 through March 14, 2020.
Potential offerors shall be capable of providing full annual preventative maintenance and service maintenance services, as well as all required software upgrades on one Medtronic superDimension bronchial navigator. All work/services shall be performed by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified trained technician. Please refer to the minimum requirements below.
superDimension System Version 7.1 Software Upgrade shall include:
Hardware component upgrades as necessary to accommodate Version 7.1 Procedure and Planning Software for the superDimension console.
Annual Preventative maintenance and Service maintenance services shall include:
2 Preventative Maintenance Visits per year
On-site visits shall take place within 48 hours or two (2) business days from a system repairs related service inquiry.
Full coverage for all parts, cables, labor, & travel for warranty repairs
OEM parts shall be used for all repairs
Full accidental damage coverage
Software updates
The service agreement will cover the following government furnished equipment:

Covidien Sales LLC is the only known provider since the maintenance can only be provided by Covidien Sales LLC.
THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by February 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Richard.Amodeo@va.gov .
