The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity on behalf of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) is conducting market research to determine availability of companies who can provide maintenance services for the BD Phoenix 100 system. BD Phoenix 100 system is currently being used in the Multidrug-resistant organism Repository & Surveillance Network (MRSN) laboratories at WRAIR, Silver Spring, MD. This system is a specialized equipment used to support MRSN's mission of conducting epidemiological surveillance of multi-drug resistant organisms (MDROs) to enhance performance improvement and infection control across the DOD. Periodic service and cleaning will keep the machine fully functioning and validated. Additional Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECS) are provided below.

1. Must include a Maintenance Service Agreement for the BD Phoenix 100 system for as needed on-site preventive maintenance (PM) visits during the contract period along with unlimited emergency visits to perform repairs


2. Maintenance visit will include all labor, travel, expenses and parts


3. Must provide telephone support for customer service calls Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, excluding Federal holidays


THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Respondents having proven capability of satisfying the requirements stated herein should provide a narrative identifying business size (large business, small business, and small disadvantaged business, etc.), applicable designators (service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.), experience performing the same or similar services and General Services Administration/Federal Supply Schedule information, if applicable.
