BC Integrated Land Management Bureau - GeoBC Warehouse Population Service Support
GeoBC manages a suite of population (ETL) tools to load client datasets into the British
Columbia Geographic Data Warehouse and is looking for a vendor to help support two
specific areas:
i) GeoBC requires assistance in redeveloping the current Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)
environment. This part of the project will identify technical infrastructure requirements
and make recommendations to establish a standard FME population environment, document
internal workflows and processes relating to FME script delivery and migration, document
standard vendor delivery procedures, review and update FME script development standards
and guidelines and update a suite of existing FME scripts where applicable.
ii) GeoBC also replicates a large number of datasets from ESRI coverage format into the
Geographic Data Warehouse using a customized tool which is targeted for retirement. In
this part of the project, the vendor will assist GeoBC in determining appropriate ETL
options for replacing this process, and will also assist in migrating the existing
replication processes to the selected technology.
