The Product Director, Aviation Ground Support Equipment (PD AGSE) has a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement for 2 each, B4 Maintenance Platforms for the country of Afghanistan under Letter of Agreement (LOA), W5-B-UAQ. The B4 stand is a hydraulically operated, adjustable platform and ladder assembly mounted on a caster-equipped base which can be moved to enable personnel to work safely at heights of approximately 3 to 7 feet. The B4 is mobile and the swivel casters that can be locked for stability when the stand is in the desired location. A tow bar is provided to permit towing by vehicle when movement over long distances is required. The platform is designed to support up to 500 pounds in its raised position. The platform is raised and lowered by manual control of a hydraulic pump.

Level of Preservation - Military, Packing A is protection required to meet the most severe worldwide shipment, handling, and storing conditions. A Level A pack, must in tandem with the applied method of preservation, be capable of protecting material from the effects of direct exposure to extremes of climate, terrain, and operational and transportation environments.  Examples of containers used for Level A packing requirements include, but are not limited to, overseas type wood boxes, and plastic and metal reusable containers.
