Aviation Professional Engineering Firm for Municipal Airport
The City intends to engage an Aviation Professional Engineering Firm for services
pursuant to Chapter 2254, Subchapter A, of the Government Code. TxDOT Aviation
Division will solicit and receive proposals for professional aviation engineering design
services described below.
The following is a listing of proposed projects at the Municipal Airport during
the course of the next five years through multiple grants.
Current Project: City of Palestine; TxDOT CSJ No.: 1010PALST. Current Scope:
Engineering/design services to rehabilitate hangar access taxiways; rehabilitate aprons;
repair concrete drainage structures; rehabilitate Taxiway A; and drainage improvements
at the Palestine Municipal Airport.
The DBE Goal for the current project is 10%. The TxDOT Project Manager is Russell
Deason.
Future scope work items for engineering/design services within the next five years may
include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
1. Rehabilitate & mark aprons
2. Install perimeter fencing
3. Reconstruct auto parking
4. Rehabilitate and mark Runways
5. Install PAPI-4s
6. Rehabilitate and mark taxiways
7. Apron expansion
8. Construct parallel taxiway
9. Relocate electrical vault
The City of Palestine reserves the right to determine which of the above scope of services
may or may not be awarded to the successful firm and to initiate additional procurement
action for any of the services above.
