1. INTRODUCTION:
This presolicitation notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced and interested potential sources. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought announcement.
NCO 1 Contracting is seeking interested sources for a future solicitation and procurement. At this time, no solicitation exists.
2. BACKGROUND:
The West Haven VA Medical Center requires automatic door repair and preventative maintenance for all automatic doors in the facility, the current count of automatic door systems is approximately 102 which include swing, sliding and revolving type doors and vary in manufacturer, including:
Nabco Gyrotech
Besam
Automatic Door Systems Inc
Stanley door systems
Miscellaneous (Pro swing, Ditec, and Horton)

3. OBJECTIVES:
The West Haven VA Medical Center is looking for) contractors that are certified in ADA, AAADA (or equivalent) Automatic Door Repair to perform routine and emergent automatic door repair and preventative maintenance on all automatic doors in the facility. For non-emergent calls the contractor shall respond no later than the next business day. Emergent calls will require the contractor to respond to the West Haven Medical Center within two hours of the originating call.
The current primary NAICS code is 238290 (Automated and revolving door installation), which has a size standard of 15 Million.
