With this Request for Proposal (RFP), CalPERS intends to acquire software products and implementation services that will provide a comprehensive solution to address CalPERS requirements defined by the Automated Real Estate Investment System (AREIS) Project. By partnering with the vendor community in this effort, CalPERS will employ new technology to substantially improve management, tracking, and accounting of the Real Estate investment portfolio.
The objectives of the AREIS Project are to:
a. Procure a real estate portfolio management solution that meets CalPERS documented requirements, and implement it according to a structured implementation lifecycle.
b. Launch a formal change management effort to prepare CalPERS to accept the new solution, including modifying key processes, training users and promoting use of the new solution.
c. Define and conduct knowledge transfer, maintenance, and operations processes sufficient to effectively maintain the solution throughout its useful life.
