THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation, but market research to determine potential sources able to provide a lease for the Pyxis MedStation 3500 Automated Medication System for use at Keesler AFB, MS.

This notice does not constitute a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Further, we are not at this time seeking proposals; therefore, DO NOT request a copy of a solicitation or submit a proposal as a result of this notice. Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this sources sought and that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. All costs associated with responding to this sources sought will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, should one be issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise from a response to the notice. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps website for additional information pertaining to this sources sought.


RESPONSE INFORMATION:
Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than 8:00 AM CST, on Tuesday, 25 July 2017. Responses should be emailed to: katie.fulford.1@us.af.mil AND lindsey.connors@us.af.mil. It is the responsibility of the respondent to ensure their email has been received by either the Contract Specialist, Katie Fulford, at 228-377-5504 or Contracting Officer, Lindsey Connors, at 228-377-1840 or via email PRIOR to the deadline. Responses and/or inquiries WILL NOT be accepted past the deadline.
Interested parties should include their company name, address, phone number, point of contact, CAGE code, company size status and whether or not they are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm.
All interested parties must provide a response containing a written statement, confirming they can comply with the government needs, as specified above. All respondees to this Sources Sought Notice understand, by submitting this written statement, they are certifying they can meet ALL criteria.

Minimum Equipment Requirements:

1. This system must allow physician orders to be transmitted electronically, verify nursing staff by finger identification and improve pharmacy dispensing hours.
2. This system must allow increased accuracy and timeliness for administration of patient medications.
3. The system must store and secure with a double locking mechanism all narcotics and patient medications.
4. This system must operate with nursing, pharmacy and clinicians to work more efficiently and effectively to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
5. Must enhance nurse productivity by simplifying workflow
6. Must help reduce chances of medication errors, increasing patient safety
7. Must maximize security of medication and protected patient health information Must streamline medication distribution, providing more time for clinical patient care
8. Must support JCAHO and regulatory compliance
9. Must improve nursing/pharmacy communication and collaboration
10. Must increase charge and cost capture
11. The management products and consulting services should provide communication and efficiency between pharmacy and nursing. In addition to the core functionality this service should include a small touch screen monitor and enhanced software that allows nurses to view order status and physician orders directly from their station.
12. Maintenance/Support will include telephone support 24/7 and on-site repair within 96 hours of work-order. Manufacturer is responsible for all server and equipment issues with the exception of misuse from the end user.
13. According to the previsions of DoD 5200.40 Department of Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process, and AFI-33-202, Network and Computer Security, the following requirements must be met:
a. An Authorization to Connect (ATC) and Authorization to Operate (ATO) must be obtained within three years after the Certificate of Networthiness is approved by AETC.
b. This system MUST have access to integrate with Composite Health Care System (CHCS) for pharmacy and nursing staff to retrieve and enter patient information.
