Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) With Handheld ID Devices

The County Sheriff is soliciting proposals for an Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) with Handheld ID Devices. The handheld devices shall be used by patrolling officers to capture fingerprints in the field and transmit the data to check the criminal status of a suspect, first against a local database and then, if necessary, also check it against the Department of Justice (DOJ) criminal database.
