This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). This is not a request for proposals and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. However, the intent is to award two (2) separate Authorized Central Storage (ACS) Chemical Disposal and Destruction contracts, Alabama and Iowa. All responsible businesses, including small businesses, are encouraged to respond to this RFI. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) requests industry comments on the attached draft Request for Proposal (RFP) to assist in requirement planning and the DEA would like to invite any interested vendors to attend an individual meeting to discuss comments regarding the draft RFP. The information requested by this notice will be used within the DEA to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The DEA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. Unsolicited proposals or offers of any kind will not be considered in response to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future RFP, as well as those regarding the nature of the services to be performed under any future relative initiatives will not be accepted. Please email responses to this RFI to Contract Specialist, Amanda Jones at Amanda.Jones2@usdoj.gov by 4:00pm Eastern Time (ET) on December 23, 2014. If your firm is interested in participating in an individual meeting with DEA representatives, please provide an available date and time between January 12, 2015 and January 15, 2015 between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm ET, to be scheduled on a first come-first serve basis. Please indicate if you would like to meet in person at DEA Headquarters located in Arlington, VA or by conference call. In addition, all interested vendors possessing the required capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information: 1. Company name; mailing address; physical address; point of contact; telephone number; fax number; e-mail address; DUNS number; NAICS code; company business size (if small, indicate type); and GSA schedule number (if applicable). 2. A corporate capability statement between one and ten (10) pages that includes relevant experience within the past three years. Relevant experience is defined as possessing the experience described in the draft RFP. Please include which state(s), Alabama and/or Iowa, your firm is interested in. 3. A representative sample of contracts the vendor’s firm was awarded to provide the requirements as described in this notice and draft RFP within the past three years. For each contract listed, include the type of contract; total estimated value; contract period of performance (e.g., base and number of option periods); customer (i.e. federal agency) and respective point of contact (e.g., point of contact’s name, phone number, and email address). 4. A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for one year of services.
