The Fund is a self-insured, self-administered fund that administers workers compensation claims for eligible state employees who are injured in the course of and arising out of employment.
The purpose of the proposed contract is to provide an efficient method of cost savings through medical bill review of all workers compensation charges submitted to the Fund.
Whether charges conform to the Kansas Workers Compensation Medical fee schedule.
If providers have submitted duplicate bills.
Whether providers actually performed the services billed.
Whether the services performed and prescriptions ordered were proper for the injury incurred.
