Athletic program support services at the United States Naval Academy

The proposed action is for athletic program support services at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The Government intends to solicit only one source, Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA). The following statute permits contracting on a sole source basis with the Naval Academy Athletic Association: b10 U.S. CODE B' 6981 - SUPPORT OF ATHLETIC AND PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAMS(a)(1) Contracts and cooperative agreements.b The Secretary of the Navy may enter into contracts and cooperative agreements with the Naval Academy Athletic Association for the purpose of supporting the athletic and physical fitness programs of the Naval Academy. Notwithstanding section 2304 (k) of this title, the Secretary may enter such contracts or cooperative agreements on a sole source basis pursuant to section 2304 (c)(5) of this title.b Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
