Asbestos Assesment and Training
The Commission is seeking a vendor, licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, for assessment and testing for asbestos in State facilities. This vendor will also be required to provide training to State employees to identify the need for asbestos containment in buildings when work is performed and the proper procedures for responding to potential exposure for trades staff and employees as required by Illinois laws and regulations. The training will include the identification of asbestos in building materials, containment of the area, proper signage, modifications to building HVAC systems, required remediation procedures and other necessary steps required when potential asbestos exposure is identified.
