PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE

Purpose: The purpose of this synopsis is to provide a notice to the public of information applicable to Asbestos Abatement service at the VA East Orange Campus, 385 Tremont Ave, East Orange, NJ 07018.

Authority: Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) is issuing this synopsis in accordance with FAR Part 5.204 Pre-solicitation Notices.

Description: Description of Work: a) Remove approximately 625 square feet(3 ft wide of thinset floor leveling, 9 x 9 vinyl floor tiles and associated asbestos containing mastic in Auditorium . Approximately 3 ft wide area around perimeter of room to be abated. Area indicated by work already started; b)Pre-clean all fixed and movable objects and flooring in the regulated area using HEPA filtered vacuums and/or wet cleaning techniques as appropriate; c)Removal and disposal of approximately 230 LF of pipe insulation asbestos containing material from room B-155 Electrical ShopAll piping systems that are abated shall be reinsulated in accordance with the MEPFP Specifications; d)Pre-clean all fixed and moveable objects and flooring in the regulated area using HEPA filtered vacuums and/or wet cleaning techniques as appropriate.

This procurement is a 100% set-aside for a Small Business. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to contract award:

Contract Type: Firm Fixed-Price

Period of Performance:B 10 Days after Notice to Proceed.

Release Date of the Solicitation: It is anticipated that solicitation will be released by 05/18/2018. Should complications arise resulting in a delay in the release of the solicitation, the Contracting Officer will provide an update through FBO. Solicitation will be available for download from the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov. Amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website as well. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time of bid closing.
