Architectural design services
The works comprise preparing working design and construction of the new British Embassy in Tbilisi comprising offices and Ambassador's residence. The proposed Embassy Building, which can be divided into two horizontal parts, is a 33x23m structure and is to be built on a sloping site. The lower part of the building includes underground parking and two floors of Embassy rooms. The smaller (33x12m) upper floors are the Ambassador's residence, all with the aim of achieving an excellent BREEAM rating and to comply with UK Building Regulations.
The following will be required:
Presentation of proposals to the FCO for approval.
Obtaining approvals for proposals from supply authorities and other regulatory bodies.
Preparing working designs to comply with the detailed concept design.
Seismic building protection.
Bomb blast building protection.
Connections for utilities supplies, possibly using:
- Kaz Trans Gas.
- Tbilisi Water Company.
- JSCT (Electricity Provider).
- New Network Telephone Company.
Liaison with the FCO appointed lead design team.
A UK contractor will be appointed for part of the fit out works.
