Architectural and Engineering Design Services

The County is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide Architectural and Engineering
Design Services to design, produce construction documents and perform Construction Administration for the
design and construction of an environmental analytical laboratory complex, including utilities connections to 5-0
outside the building envelope; building structure; building HVAC and electrical systems; and other pertinent
systems and equipment as described herein. The site design will include adjacent yards, drives, loading zones
and parking lot to a schematic level. The schematic design of the site will be engineered and constructed by
others under a separate contract. The work is to be completed under a single Design/Bid/Build contract. The
The County will supply laboratory analytical
equipment as herein described such as a microwave communication system, and computer workstations and
servers for the Local Area Network (LAN). The project area is within portions of two parcels owned by the County.
The County intends to award one contract for Architectural and Engineering services to the highest-ranking firm.
Services shall include Programming based on master plan already developed, Conceptual
plans and estimates, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document preparation, Bidding and
Permitting, and Construction Administration services.
The construction budget for this project shall not exceed $11,000,000, exclusive of site work, Fixtures, Furnishing.
and Equipment (FFEs) and casework.
