CHASSELL TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES PART 1 - - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS A. Instructions Qualified firms are invited to submit proposals to Chassell Township Schools (the District) for Architectural Services for a proposed project which shall include: Roof Replacement for the existing school. The successful firm shall provide the District assistance in: Architectural Services to include: 1. Analysis of the existing roof system as necessary. 2. Construction documents for a new roof system, including drawings and specifications, for bidding, permitting, and construction. 3. Bidding assistance to the District, including the preparation of all bid specifications and advertisements for bids as required under MCL 380.1267 as well as the evaluation of bids received. 4. Construction administration services throughout installation of roofing system, including closeout and warranties. 5. The successful bidder shall be responsible for all plans and specifications as well as the supervision of construction under 1937 PA 306. The proposal shall include the following items: 1. Lump sum fee for the scope of services listed above. 2. Breakdown of the lump sum fee based upon the following: 1) costs for designing and preparing plans and specifications; 2) costs for supervision of construction; and 3) additional costs included in lump sum fee. 3. List of Architects experience on similar projects. 4. List of references with names and phone numbers 5. Assurance that Architectural firm can provide project deliverables in accordance with project schedule. 6. Acknowledgement of bid ad dated June 24, 2010 Project Schedule: 1. Approval of Architectural Firm: July 1, 2010 2. Advertisement for Construction Bids: July 23, 2010 3. Completion of Construction: October 1, 2010
