NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a Arbitrary Waveform Generator.


NASA/NSSC intends to Sole Source this requirement to Tektronix, Inc, PO Box 500, Beaverton, OR,  97077, Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). 


Specifications:
- Arbitrary waveform generation per user specified equations or data files;
- Sample rate: 25 Gsamples/s (25 billion sample points per second);
- Waveform amplitude resolution: 10 bits;
- Maximum waveform output amplitude: 1 V peak to peak;
- Waveform output amplitude resolution and accuracy: 1.0 mV, +/-2%;
- Analog bandwidth: >11 GHz;
- Frequency output flatness: +/-1.5 dB up to 10 GHz
- Output impedance: 50 ohm;
- Output standing wave ratio (SWR): DC to 10 GHz, 1.6:1
- Output pulse rise time: <22 ps;
- Output distortion: -50 dBc at 2nd harmonic at 2-6 GHz output and 25 Gs/s;
- Timing jitter: 0.25 ps root-mean-squared (rms) and 10 ps total peak to peak;
- Intra-channel skew: <5 ps;
- Output modes: continuously repeated and triggered;
- Operating system and output interface: Windows 7 with multiple USB 2.0 compliant ports, GPIB IEEE-Std 488.1, Ethernet IEEE-Std 802.3;
- Time- base: Internal clock, 1 part per million (ppm) accuracy, 1 ppm aging/year; External reference clock: 10 MHz +/-10 ppm, -5 dBm to 5 dBm;
- Auxiliary inputs: External reference clock, external trigger;
- Auxiliary outputs: Markers for the output waveforms; reference clock;
- Physical characteristics: fit into a standard 19" instrument rack; <25 kg; operating temperature: 0 to 50 degrees Celsius with ambient air; Relative humidity for operation: 5-90% up to 30 degrees Celsius;
- Electrical power: 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, <500 Watts.
- Warranty: 1 year parts and labor.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).

The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334515.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on April 07, 2017. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
