The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a request for quotaiton for aprons for use in meat and poultry slaughter facilities. This procurement is being conducted as a commerical item acquisition under FAR Part 12/13. At a minimum the apron shall be 35 inches x 55 inches, thickness shall be 6 mil or greater, 3 laces (laces must be included with each apron), apron material must be able to repel water, blood, and animal fat. FSIS' estimated usage of these aprons is 25,000 per year.
Offerors will be required to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. It is anticipated that a single Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded. The period of performance will be for a 12 month base plus four (4) additional 12 month option periods.
This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses.
The standard classification NAICS code is 315210 - Cut and Sew Apparel Contractors with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
