Appraisal Services for Currency
The State requires services for the review, appraisal, and certification of coins, currency, and collectables/memorabilia (hereafter referred to as “coins and currency”) that are to be sold under authorization of the Unclaimed Property Program (hereafter referred to as UPP). In Fiscal Year 2009-2010, UPP received 960 lots of unclaimed property. A lot may include a single item, such as a single coin, to several hundred items, such as a coin collection.
