Antenna Pedestal
It is anticipated that an IDIQ contract will be awarded for themanufacture of a total estimated quantity of 32 antenna pedestals during an estimated 4 year period (one base year and 3 option years). The minimum quantity is 9 pedestals. The requirement is to machine the pedestal from a forged 6061-T6 aluminum block. The block must be inspected to insure it contains no unacceptable voids. The completed pedestal is approximately 3 foot in diameter and 20inches high and will weigh approximately 250 lbs. The pedestal has complex machining specifications and also requires the installation of 76 heli coils.It must be alodine coated and painted. The First Article Form, Fit, and Function tests will be conducted at Tobyhanna Army Depot in Pennsylvania.
