The primary purpose of the phone-a-thon is to raise funds to meet the University’s needs. This is to be accomplished by the reinstatement of past donors and acquisition of new donors through educating prospects about giving opportunities. Annual fund gifts may be unrestricted or may be directed to specific departments or programs. These gifts help provide the margin of excellence. Secondarily, the phone-a-thon offers the ability to provide prospects with information about the University and to capture updated information such as mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses
