STATEMENT OF WORK
Dekker Vacuum Pump Preventative Maintenance Service
General. Special Requirement -- The Contractor will provide all materials, hardware and parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, transportation, supervision and technical expertise to perform FY 18 Annual Dekker Medical
Vacuum Pump Preventative Maintenance Service for three (3) model
VMX0203KA1-00 pumps at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC. Period of performance will be October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.
(1) Specific Requirements. The Contractors work shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Provide annual preventive maintenance service during FY 18 (October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018).
Service shall be to three (3) Dekker Medical Vacuum Pumps located in
Building 47, Pump Model VMX0203KA1-00 and S/N 21274, S/N 21242 AND S/N 21141 to ensure proper operation and performance of the systems as required/recommended by the manufacturer and/or industry standard.
Provide one (1) Field Service Trained Technician and all required parts, filters, and oil to perform preventive maintenance to include:
(1) Inspect Starter & Drive Couplings;
(2) Inspect Drive Motor and grease;
(3) Take Motor Amp Readings;
(4) Check Air and Lubricant Temperatures and Pressures;
(5) Inspect Safety Relief Valves;
(6) Inspect Electrical Connections;
(7) Check condition of Coolers and blow out if necessary;
(8) Clean Air Cooled Coolers
(9) Replace Separator Element P/N 6300-1615-002
(10) Provide and Replace V-max Synthetic Lubricant (10.5 gallons in each pump)
(11) Advise AVAMC FMS M&O Supervisor and/or COR of any problems noted to ensure proper operation and performance of the systems.
Components that are suspected of being faulty may be repaired or replaced in advance to minimize system interruptions. Labor and materials are included in this agreement for such repairs or replacements.
Perform complete clean-up of work area daily
All work to be performed to minimize disruption to the Medical Center.
Contractor will inform COR of the date(s) work will occur and what hours the contractor will be working.
Contractor will provide safety, traffic control, supervision and final cleanup.
NOTE: Work is being completed in a hospital environment. The Contractor must take all precautions to ensure all tools and materials are under continuous observation and accountability. At no time will tools be left unattended or unsecured.
When complete, notify the COR to inspect and accept all accomplished work.
Provide the COR all documentation and warranty information concerning installed components/equipment and work accomplished.
Ensure all invoicing documents are submitted in-accordance with the instructions provided in the formal contract.
Period of Performance for this project will be 1 October 2017 through
30 September 2018.
