The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to the University of Buffalo to conduct data analysis of the Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) Naturalistic Driving Study (NDS) to study the safety effects of high visibility crosswalks documented in a final report and final briefing.

University of Buffalo is uniquely qualified to undertake this task because their staff developed this project and is undertaking an extension of the original work.  Their familiarity with the topic of high visibility crosswalks and NDS data and its analysis make the University of Buffalo a logical choice for this work.

A purchase order, issued under FAR Part 13, is anticipated and the total estimated value is not to exceed $150,000.
