The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC), Program Manager Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PMMAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armaments, Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is conducting market research to identify potential companies who are capable of the following:


Requirements:
The carton packaging machine shall be able to handle individual components ranging in size from 5.56mm up to 7.62 mm parts and package into carton box. The carton packaging machine shall be able to erect a carton box from a flat carton paperboard stock and fill it with twenty (20) 7.62 mm parts arranged into two rows with a divider in between. The system shall have programmable logic controller (PLC) or PC-based controls.


The complete carton packaging machine system shall occupy a floor footprint of not greater than 20 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 15 feet tall.


The carton packaging machine shall have a maximum throughput of no less than 120 ppm or 20 cartons per minute.


Deliveries will be to Picatinny Arsenal NJ 07806.


Submission Information: Request interested parties provide the following information:


1) Description of facility and equipment where parts will be manufactured
2) Description of manufacturing and inspection process
3) Typical lead time
4) ISO Certification (If available)
5) Relevant current contracts with the USG
6) DUNS Number and CAGE Code
7) Are you currently ITAR compliant? ISO Certification (y/n) - If yes, then please provide copy of certificate


Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed, any in-house research and development effort, and any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement. All information is to be submitted via email (10MB limit) at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small and provide your DUNS and CAGE Code. Please provide the name of your firm, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.


The Government will accept written questions by email. Interested firms/companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualification data NO LATER THAN 19 October, 2017. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFP.
