Ambulance Service
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX, intends to issue solicitation RFQP01091700020 for the provision of Ambulance Services. The services will be provided to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible vendor or individual who submits the lowest quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract periods for the service will consist of a base year and four option years with an additional 6 month optional period. Most services are expected to occur, but are not limited to the following Kentucky counties: Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison, Scott and Woodford. Most services will have either their origination or destination as the Federal Medical Center and/or Satellite Camp Prison, 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511. The contractor will agree to transport inmates to the destination requested by FMC regardless if another hospital is a shorter distance from the FMC. The Contractor must be available for emergency ambulance and/or routine ambulance transport services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including Federal holidays. For emergent transport, the Contractor must be on-site at the FMC Lexington within 15 minutes of request. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The contractor shall comply with any and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards. The solicitation will be available on or about October 26, 2017 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government are advised that this future solicitation includes the clause FAR 52.212-5 (Apr 2005) for Commercial Items and System for Award Management (SAM). This clause requires all contractors doing business with the federal government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database at www.sam.gov. Contractors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees DUNS number into the SAM database. The acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 621910 with a small business size standard of $15 million.
