Non-native invasive plant species have become established across the Allegheny National Forest (ANF) and there is a need to implement treatment activities that will limit the further introduction and spread of these species and conserve forest resources in a manner that presents the least hazard to humans and maintains or
restores forest resources (USDA- FS 2007a, pg. 13).


This solicitation requires non-native invasive plant treatment through a variety of herbicide and cutting techniques compliant with its terms, specifications and provisions. This work will occur in a variety of site conditions from constructed openings to forested stands, along both motorized and non-motorized trails, streams and within administrative sites such as developed recreation areas.


Location of Pre-Bid Meeting
Show-me Trip -A field trip to contract area will be conducted May 23, 2019 - participants will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the Trading Post gas station, SR62, 0.1 mile south of bridge going into Tidioute, PA (approximately 5 miles southwest of contract area). Participants will then travel to contract site. One of the contract areas is accessed by Township road T317 - Economy Road 0.2 miles south of Bimber Comers.
