Design plans for three trail alternatives on the Hill.
1.A multi-use loop trail that is designed for mountain bikes and hikers.
Equestrians will be allowed but the trail will not be designed for them. This option is to be designed to maximize the mountain bike experience (i.e. incorporating bike "flow" and desirable dips and turns) while providing a positive hiking experience. Mountain bike jumps and parallel technical options are not desired. No steps are to be used in the tread. The trail should be designed to minimize trail user conflict and to encourage users to stay on trail. This design should generally circumnavigate the Anemone Hill area and be the contractor's best assessment for a sustainable and reasonably priced trail.
2.A multi-use loop trail that is designed for mountain bikes and hikers. This trail is to be designed to provide a balanced experience for each of the user groups. (Equestrians will be allowed but the trail will not be designed for them.) Mountain bike jumps and parallel technical options are not desired. No steps are to be used in the tread. The trail should be designed to minimize trail user conflict and to encourage users to stay on trail. This alignment should be the contractor's suggestion of the best trail alignment for the area.
3.A multi-use loop trail that is designed for mountain bikes and hikers that will generally follow the trail alignment on the attached map. See Attachment A. A description of what trail features will need to be adjusted to design the trail to accommodate equestrians must be included in the bid.
