Alcohol/Drug Screening & DNA/Paternity Testing Services
The State is responsible for the temporary assistance to needy families (TANF) support, protecting children, foster care and other services to strengthen families. DFCS investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents become productive citizens, to include assistance with childcare costs; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help at-risk families.
