Alaska Medicaid Provider Audits

The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Program Integrity section, is soliciting proposals to conduct on-site audits and desk audits statewide. For the first year of the contract, 80 audits will be required of the contractor. In subsequent years, the number of audits may vary in accordance with the requirements of Alaska Statute 47.05.200. The purpose of the audits include ensuring provider compliance with state and federal policies, regulations and statutes, recovering overpayments, supporting the investigation and prosecution of violations of criminal statutes and protecting the Medicaid program from inappropriate expenditures resulting from fraud, waste, abuse or misuse. Amendment 1 was issued June 21, 2012
