Airstrip 09/10 Timber Sale
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Forestry is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This lump sum sale is a thinning of approximately 306 acres of natural slash and longleaf pine within the Richloam Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest, Sumter County, Florida. All blue marked pine timber 10 inches or less in DBH within the sale boundary is available for harvest. All trees greater than 10 inches DBH and all pine trees marked with orange paint are excluded from the sale and must NOT be harvested or damaged. Sale boundaries are designated by roads, wetlands, or orange paint. Estimated product volumes are 735 tons of chip-n-saw and 1,571 tons of pulpwood.
