SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
Aircraft Data Recording and Reporting Capability
PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
The Government is researching the ability to record and report all pertinent aircraft flight, system and component data on Air Force aircraft over-the-air or post-flight by maintainers in their workcenter or on the flightline.
The capability to record ALL aircraft data bus traffic is critical to the long term success of Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), specifically Predictive Algorithm Development (PAD), focused on identifying degradation of specific components or systems. Additionally, capture and package of downloaded flight, system and component data files is critical for the Air Force's ability to accomplish CBM+ reliability and failure analysis.
This capability will be device agnostic and integrate with and support aircrew electronic flight bags (EFB) to ensure a singular aircrew and maintenance interface with minimal flight deck modifications, easy maintenance access, and minimal weight and balance impact.
Finally, this solution will be tailorable to all applicable Air Force platforms, maximizing aircraft data recorded based on platform-specific databus capability.
