Air Traffic Tower Repair
DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a Period of Performance (PoP) of 124 calendar days. This project consists removing and replacing the insulated metal panel and glazing systems at the catwalk level and above as well as remove and replace weathered sealant materials in the Air Control Tower Envelope. Also remove intumescent fireproofing from face of exposed steel and replace with new 2 hour intumescent fire protection on exposed steel. Project magnitude is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Funds are not presently available; no award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the closing date for receipt of propsals. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. All contractors shall be System for Award Management (SAM.GOV) registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors must be registered in the SAM.GOV database before a contract can be awarded to your company. NO PARTIAL BIDS WILL BE CONSIDERED. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. PLEASE NOTE: ACCESS TO THE BASE IS RESTRICTED. If you need base access to hand-deliver your bid, you will need to contact, by email, the 55th Contracting Squadron at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the bid opening. Contact information will be provided in the solicitation. The 55th Contracting Squadron will arrange an escort to provide transportation for the offeror to hand-deliver the bid.
