The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) at Orlando, FL has a requirement to establish a new product delivery contract of a drop-in Air Recoil System (ARS) for the Beretta 92 in support of Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) / Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes Small Arms Marksmanship Trainer (SAM-T). A draft Statement Of Work (SOW) is attached for industry review and feedback.
The current anticipated overall estimate for the NSTC SAM-T is $250k and the anticipated ordering period is 12 months with four one-year option ordering periods. The Government anticipates release of a solicitation in 4th Quarter of FY 2018 and contract award in the 4th Quarter of FY 2018.
The Government is requesting that interested and capable vendors submit a capabilities statement.
Responses should include a narrative identifying the scope of past and present (within the last 3 years) relevant experience on similar contracts, indicating if it was in the U.S.A. or in foreign country (include dollar value, complexity and point of contact), a description of capabilities to perform the subject effort, any comments on the requirements, and any alternative approaches to filling the subject requirement. Potential sources must identify their business type (i.e., small business, large business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) certified business, woman-owned business, etc.).
For purposes of reporting business size, the anticipated applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 332994, Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing with a small business size standard of $38.5 million.
The anticipated Product Service Code is 3690 (Specialized Ammunition and Ordnance Machinery and Related Equipment). Please limit submissions to 10 pages as brevity of extraneous information is desired.
