SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.

Sources sourght for :

1.) Air Recievers:

SLAC National Lab is seeking sources for two 660 Gallon Wet Air Receivers and one 2,200 Gallon Air Buffer.Vessels shall be custom, skirt-supported, coated carbon steel vertical vessels designed, fabricated, inspected, tested and U stamped in accordance with ASME BPVC Section VIII, Division 1. In addition to the pressure and temperature conditions, the vessels and supports shall be designed for all applicable external loads. These loads include seismic loads, wind loads for the one vessel installed outdoors, lifting / transportation loads and nozzle loads from connected piping

2.) Air Compressors

SLAC National Lab is seeking sources for two Oil-Free Air Compressors and two Heated Blower Purge Desiccant Air Dryers.
Compressors shall deliver air up to a full load operating pressure of at least 125 psig. Compressors shall have an integrated Variable Speed Drive (VSD) with a minimum continuous Free Air Delivery (FAD) no higher than 100 CFM and a maximum continuous FAD no lower than 290 CFM. When air demand is below minimum FAD, compressor shall use load/unload capacity control. Compressors shall include a sound attenuating enclosure such that the package does not emit greater than 70 dB(A). The compressor shall have a Minimum Design Temperature no higher than 32 °F and a Maximum Design Temperature no lower than 104 °F. Compressor Motor shall be Premium Efficiency, Inverter Duty TEFC. Input Voltage shall be 460 Volt / 3 Phase / 60 Hertz. Compressor controller shall be graphic based.
Dryers shall produce Outlet Air Guaranteed to meet ISO 8573-1 Class 1.2.0 over the complete capacity range of the Compressor. Dryer shall include pre-filter with float drain, dust after-filter, blower inlet filter, tower insulation and a flow restriction to limit air speed through the dryer. The Dryer shall switch towers / purge only when required by the measured pressure dewpoint. The desiccant shall be regenerated using heated ambient air from the blower and cooled, unless required by ambient conditions, using ambient air from the blower. Vessels shall be designed, fabricated, inspected, tested and U Stamped in accordance with ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1. Dryer shall have a design pressure of at least 190 psig, a Minimum Design Temperature no higher than 32 °F and a Maximum Design Temperature no lower than 122 °F. The pressure drop through the dryer (excluding the filters and flow restriction) shall be ≤ 3 psid. Input Voltage shall be 460 Volt / 3 Phase / 60 Hertz.
