The University of Houston - Clear Lake (herein called the Owner), invites sealed lump sum bids for: FY12 AIR HANDLER REPLACEMENT, BAYOU BUILDING, UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON - CLEAR LAKE Sealed bids (in triplicate) should be clearly marked with the project name, and be addressed and delivered directly to: University of Houston - Clear Lake Attn: Dan Wilson Facilities Management and Construction Central Services Building 2700 Bay Area Blvd. Houston, TX 77058-1098 no later than 10:00 a.m. November 15, 2011. Bid Packets that are sent via courier, Federal Express, UPS etc. should be addressed to deliver directly to the Central Services Building Attn: Dan Wilson. Any bids not delivered to the Central Services Building may not arrive on time for bid and will not be considered. Subsequently, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Construction shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Demolition of existing Air Handlers and installation of new Air Handlers furnished by the owner. Bidding Documents are available and may be downloaded free of charge from the University website www.uhcl.edu/fmc and on the Texas Marketplace. Prospective bidders will be responsible for the cost of any reproductions or copies required. Bidders will be responsible for compliance with the General and Supplementary Conditions of the Contract and the entire bid document regardless of how much they decide to copy. The University website is the only authorized source of plans, information and/or addenda. The University discourages the use of other sources or plan services to obtain plans, cannot guarantee the completeness of information obtained from non-authorized sources and will not distribute material or answer questions which are readily obtained or answered from the website. The owner reserves the right to accept any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to, the conditions provided in the Notice to Bidders. 6440/01/ADVBID 00030-2 Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
