If you are interested in providing an after-school program in the Public
Schools elementary and middle schools, you must be an authorized after-school
provider. By definition, after-school programs operate at the end of a regular
school day for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours, 4 to 5 days per week. The
program must include 3 or more components (homework assistance; academic
enrichment; communication strategies; socialization and recreation) and USDA
approved snacks (milk; fruit/vegetable; grains/bread; and/or meat/meat
alternate).
