Affirmative Action Plan
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through
competitive negotiations for an affirmative action plan by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia
Tech), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Virginia Techs Office for Equal Opportunity is looking to outsource major portions of its affirmative action planning
processes. This effort will ensure that the affirmative action plan will be in compliance with the latest federal
regulations and policies, thereby reducing the universitys risk in the human resources area.
In addition, a compensation analysis is needed to assist the university in identifying potentially discriminating pay
practices and prepare the university to meet the requirements of compensation audits performed by the Office of
Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
