Overview
On September 24, 2009 the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure directed the Authority to establish a program to facilitate the participation of aboriginal groups in the development of renewable energy generation facilities. In particular, the program should assist aboriginal communities in paying for some of the soft costs associated with the development of renewable energy projects. Based on the directive, the Authority has developed the framework for the Aboriginal Energy Partnership Program (AEPP).
