Advertising Buying Agent
The City requests proposals from qualified individuals or organizations to act as the City’s advertising buying agent. The agency or individual selected from this
RFP will act as the City’s Buying Agent. The Buying Agent will procure advertising on
behalf of the City upon request. The City will not pay advertising vendors directly and
will reimburse the Buying Agent for the advertising expenses which the Agent incurs on
behalf of the City. The advertising purchase and pay process will be detailed below and
will be included in the Professional Services Agreement for this service. The selected
Buying Agent must have the capability to conform to this process. The City will provide
compensation to the Buying Agent through the Agent’s commissionable advertising
invoices; as well as through a set, monthly fee for the Agent’s administrative, planning
and consultation work for the City. The Bureau of Communications produces its own
creative advertising materials and the broker will not be required to provide these
services.
