The Department of Public Safety, Office of the Commissioner, has released Request for Proposals (RFP) 2009-1200-8502, Administrative Investigation Software and Related Professional Services, Alaska Department of Public Safety, effective March 4, 2009.
The Alaska Department of Public Safety (DPS), Commissioners Office is soliciting proposals to provide and install Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software designed for internal affairs/professional standards units.
The Department of Public Safety is establishing an Office of Professional Standards which will have the responsibility of coordinating complaints and conducting all internal affairs-type investigations statewide. The office will also be responsible for tracking performance and disciplinary issues among Department employees in order to enable early intervention of the employees performance in a positive manner.
The RFP and related State contract documents are attached and can be downloaded/printed from this website notice. Proposals must be received no later than 1:30 p.m. Alaska time, on Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
