The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to administer the Fish and Wildlife Departments Lets Go Fishing (LGF) Program for two years, with potentially an option to renew for an additional one year. The programs theme is fishing is more than catching fish. The approach is the model of train the trainer. The intent is to provide instructor training for volunteers and provide workshop (clinic) support, monitoring and evaluation. The Fish and Wildlife Department feels it has a successful approach in place, however, new approaches and ideas will be welcomed. The LGF program receives federal aid grant dollars from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, thus certain processes need to be followed. LGF also works with another fishing education program of the Fish and Wildlife Department called Childrens Fishing Program, formally known as Kids Brook, which provides hatchery trout to kids fishing derbies.
